Hi! My name is Hilde Hoogwaerts. I design and produce decorative quilts and boxes.

My original works are available here to view and purchase.

I also offer workshops for anyone interested in getting involved with this form of craftmanship.

It’s fun to learn and do, so I hope you’ll join me!

I started making quilts in Atlanta (USA) about 30 years ago. Since then, I lived in 11 countries across 4 different continents. While living and travelling around the world I got the chance to explore different techniques, styles and textiles: North American, Asian, South American, Mediterranean and West African.

Click here to learn more about the quilts I’ve made. I also offer quilting workshops, which you can learn more about here.
I also make Boxes!

Out of acid free grey board/ binders board I cut the size I want and with the French Cartonnage technique I cover them with fabrics, decorative papers, book cloth or personal papers.

The boxes are useful to store tea bags, jewelery, keys, documents, pens and many other treasures.
